Board member Joe Gunning had the honor of presenting $1,000 scholarships to four outstanding Hamburg High School students as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting education and student success.
The Scholarship Awards were presented to: Rachel Helffenstein , Vivienne Halas, Sullivan Cook, and Nathan Jaskolka.
This year, the Hamburg Alumni Foundation surpassed an extraordinary milestone: more than $1 million raised to support students, educators, and community initiatives across the Hamburg School District.
This achievement reflects the dedication of countless supporters, and we extend a special Bulldog shoutout to the past and present board members and volunteers who helped make this milestone possible.
2025 Key Accomplishments:
The Music Department fundraiser surpassed $100,000 in total donations, celebrating Hamburg’s strong music legacy and recognizing exceptional alumni and educators, including the late Bob Reichard. This mission was further strengthened by a major music grant secured through Erie County Legislator John Gilmour.
The goal of the Hamburg Alumni Foundation has always been to generate and distribute resources to enrich education. Our latest initiative is to raise $75,000 for the Hamburg Schools’ Music Department, starting with a $20,000 grant from the Foundation. The money raised will provide instruments and enhance the music education experience for students.
Each year, the Hamburg Alumni Foundation awards 4 students with a $1,000 scholarship. To date, we have awarded over $55,000 in scholarships to Hamburg students. The scholarship awards were presented to: Reese Chudoba, Larissa Schmitt, William Fuore, and Robert Schaeffer.
