Jennifer Kuhn, Class of 1997

Jennifer Kuhn is a seasoned professional, community advocate, and proud alumna of Hamburg High School (HHS) Class of 1997. Following her high school graduation, she ventured out of New York to further her studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Economics, equipping her with a unique blend of knowledge in business and human capital management.

Jennifer’s professional journey took her into the world of car rental services, where she served in Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Management Development Program from 2001 to 2005. This role provided her with valuable exposure to leadership and operations management and prepared her for her next endeavor.

Returning to her roots in Buffalo, NY in 2005, Jennifer joined Hamburg Overhead Door, Inc., stepping into the role of Vice President of Marketing and Operations. Her drive and commitment to the family business didn’t stop there. In 2020, Jennifer and her brother, Jason Kuhn – an HHS alum from the Class of 1999, took the reins and purchased the company, ensuring its continued success and community relevance.

Jennifer has always been passionate about giving back to her community, and this is evident in her various roles. Since its inception in 2007, she has been an integral part of the HHS Academy of Finance board, contributing her time and expertise to the development of this valuable program. Her commitment to local industries extends further as she served as president of the Southtowns Builders Association. Additionally, she has found joy in the Village of Hamburg Women’s 18-88 softball league, showcasing her athletic skills and community spirit.

Not forgetting her high school years, Jennifer is the enthusiastic planner behind all HHS Class of 1997 reunions. She has consistently shown a love for her class, working tirelessly to keep the spirit of ’97 alive and well.
