Jim Weigel

Jim was a two-sport All Western New York performer for the Bulldogs (football and basketball). He was captain of both teams and led the hoops team to the Section VI finals. After graduation, Jim excelled at Buffalo State, setting passing records on his way to achieving Division III All-American honors. Weigel capped his great athletic career playing quarterback for the Barcelona Dragons in the World Football League in 1994-95. He was inducted into the Buffalo State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. Jim has coached youth teams in football, basketball, and baseball.  His favorite HHS memories include advancing to the basketball championships versus LaSalle in 1989, and taking center snaps from his teammate, the late Brian Wittmeyer.
