Thomas J. Moses, Sr.
Thomas J. Moses Sr.’s service to the Hamburg community has spanned over 40 years. Under his leadership as Recreation Supervisor (1970-2002), many buildings and renovation projects were completed. The development of Glen Meadows Park, updates to the Village Swim Center, development of a Five-Year Master Plan, and major improvements to the Community Center Park and other village playgrounds are just a few of his accomplishments. Tom became actively involved in the Hamburg Schools, serving on the Community Health Council, the Grounds Committee, and the Ambassador Council. He was one of the founders of the High School EMT Program. His dedication to the Hamburg community is further evidenced by his 43 years with the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department and numerous other service organizations. He became the Mayor of Hamburg in 2006. His commitment to the welfare of others is the hallmark of his administration and has been the motivating force of his life.
