Tim O’Shea, Class of 1983
Tim attended the State University of New York College at Geneseo where he received his degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. Tim was a leader on the Geneseo lacrosse team for several years before knee issues ended his collegiate career. At Geneseo, Tim met his wife, Yvonne McGann, and they were married in 1989.
After graduation, Tim moved to Rochester and took a position with John Hancock Financial Services. Over the next 13 years, Tim built a financial-planning practice while also managing a successful sales unit. In 2001, he moved his practice to Lincoln Financial Advisors where he also had management responsibility for the Northern New York offices. As a result of his effective leadership of these offices, he was promoted to Divisional Vice President, overseeing all Lincoln advisors the Northeast Division.
Tim and Yvonne have lived in the Rochester area for over 30 years; first in Fairport and then in Victor, where they raised their two sons, Collin (31) and Trevor (30). Excellent athletes themselves, both boys excelled and were leaders in lacrosse and hockey at Victor High School. Collin played lacrosse at Bentley University and Trevor played hockey at Marist College. Both graduated with Accounting Degrees and received their CPA designations. Collin and Trevor are married and Jive in the Rochester area. Collin married Air Force Academy graduate Jenny Johnsen, from Spartanburg, SC. Trevor and his wife, Alex, also a graduate of Marist, gave Tim and Yvonne their first grandchild in April — Ellie. May O’Shea.
Tim and Yvonne divide their time between homes in Victor, New York and Naples, Florida. They enjoy traveling and are avid golfers and pickleball players..
