PROJECT SUMMARY:

I am requesting a grant for the Armor Elementary library collection. After being hired as the new librarian this past fall 2023, I started to realize that the book collection is in need of an update. I ran a collection analysis and it showed that thousands of books were either out-of-date or irrelevant to the students at Armor. I also started observing that many students were not interested in checking out books while visiting the library. In order to update the collection so that students are interested in book checkout, I would need more than my annual library budget allows.
